Watch Collaborator Movie Online No Survey Robert Longfellow (Martin Donovan) is a famous playwright who can't seem to catch a break. His recent Broadway play was met with horrible reviews and an early cancellation, and his marriage is being tested as an old flame (Olivia Williams) has reentered his life during a particular moment of weakness. Retreating back to his childhood home to visit his mother (Katherine Helmond), Robert crosses paths with his childhood neighbor, Gus (David Morse). A right-wing, ex-con who still lives at home with his mother, Gus is Robert's polar opposite in every possible way. When Gus holds Robert hostage at gunpoint during a drunken reunion gone terribly wrong, the drama unfolds as social status, celebrity and the imminent threat of violence converge, building up to a climax that will leave both men forever changed. -- (C) Tribeca Release Date Collaborator Jul 6, 2012 Limited | |

Review For Collaborator |
Oddly, it's Donovan's performance here that proves the movie's weakest link, though his writing and helming tie for a close second. Gary Goldstein-Los Angeles Times
Morse and Donovan hold us rapt in this clearly told tale about identity confusion. Adam Litovitz-Globe and Mail
What really matters is the interplay between two fine actors, the icy Donovan and the fiery Morse. Peter Howell-Toronto Star
Both characters are riveting, and they even manage to earn most of the freight that Donovan loads onto his heavily ironic title. Farran Smith Nehme-New York Post
An exceedingly earnest, high-minded hostage drama in which any visceral tension is secondary to topical debates by a captor and his prisoner. Stephen Holden-New York Times
Writer-director-star Martin Donovan can't connect the dots; the film is a ponderous bore. Andrew Lapin-NPR
...the movie's various problems [are] exacerbated by a complete and total absence of suspense or tension. David Nusair-Reel Film Reviews
A witty and well-paced thriller. Adam Nayman-Metro News
Overall, The Collaborator is the type of film that rewards repeated viewings. Chelsey Grasso-Paste Magazine
Collaborator is a sharp and vital debut that keeps viewers guessing at all the right moments. Chris Barsanti-PopMatters
A solid, character-based drama that speaks to the disappointments of middle age and mortality in general, Collaborator doesn't let anyone off the hook -- not even the viewer. Katherine Monk-Vancouver Sun
Working with modest means, Donovan has created an intriguing chamber film very much in line with the idiosyncratic markers of his career so far. T'Cha Dunlevy-Montreal Gazette
Collaborator is a gimmick movie, but the gimmick is sound. Norman Wilner-NOW Toronto
It's a promising debut for the director and an intriguing study of characters facing desperate circumstances. Todd Jorgenson-Cinemalogue.com
A quietly suspenseful, provocative and surprising directorial debut. It shows great promise in Martin Donovan's budding career as a writer/director. Avi Offer-NYC Movie Guru
What takes shape is a character piece that makes a literary job of deconstructing the hostage thriller. Michelle Orange-Movieline
In his debut auteurial flourish, writer-director-writer Martin Donovan proves himself a triple-threat bore. David Noh-Film Journal International
The banter is playful and brazenly self-aware, but the ideas are a bit stale and don't lead anywhere emotionally substantial or narratively spontaneous. Chris Cabin-Slant Magazine
